I am a 20 year old college student who is going to graduate at the end of April 2017. Having a lack of self-esteem, which resulted in nervous ticks such as constantly tapping one of my feet and unease during phone calls and meetings with people, with the added bonus of having to get a job soon; my parents decided I had to do some much needed coaching for interviews.
Strange at first (mostly because I've never done anything like this before), we started at the very core: who am I; and gradually progressed to job interviews and setting up professional LinkedIn and Twitter profiles. Tonya does her very best do make you feel at ease and tackle important problems such as communication skills, nervousness, what to do and not do (such as tapping my foot). Furthermore, it's just great to have someone to talk to.
Recently, I had two interviews which went incredibly well, much more so than my previous ones. I managed to answer almost all questions with ease and I did not do any nervous ticks.
Even though the coaching was intended as a means to help me with the interviews, Tonya helped improve other aspects of my life as well. The ability to join conversations with others and do activities with them, health, happiness are just some of the many example that I can mention.
All in all, Puddle Jump Coaching was an incredible experience that resulted only in positive outcomes and I would recommend it to everyone. Thank you Tonya from the bottom of my heart.A.R., 20 years old
You have a genuine gift for connecting with people of all ages and it makes me excited for all those that will unlock their future. I still have no idea how you ignited him… but the change is extremely profound.
For me, you did what I can describe as a simple process for a convoluted problem that filtered the pollution. You cut to the core of the matter providing clarity and resolve. THANKS!!!!B.P., parent of F., 25 years old

My 16 year old daughter was feeling really stuck at high school. She was very worried about what to do after grade 12. She was so stressed out that it was impacting her sleep, her relationships and her grades at school. She was feeling overwhelmed and unfocused.
I was desperate and found Puddle Jump Coaching online.
Tonya quickly identified my daughter’s struggles and she appreciated what her challenges were with deciding on a career path after high school. Tonya never minimized her worries, but instead helped her to work through her concerns and focus on her strengths instead of doubting her capabilities.
She was finally able to move forward and is now working towards her future!B. O’B, mom of K., 16 years old
My son graduated from the Engineering program at Carleton University but was working at a retail job. He needed someone to assist him to the next step in obtaining an interview and employment in his field of study.
Tonya was an excellent career coach and helped him develop his skills and attitude towards the job market. He started with no specific goals or plan of attack beyond just firing off resumes.
Tonya provided him with the resources, job search materials and networking opportunities to properly enter the job market.
Through his networking experiences and his shift in attitude, he was able to find a job in his field.N.H., mom of N., 24 years old
I knew I had a problem when my son said that he had decided he was going to go to university for electrical engineering. And then the next day he said he was going to go to college to be a plumber.
He and I had already spent hours reviewing his likes and dislikes; talking about other peoples' jobs that seemed attractive, making lists of skills and abilities. We made flow charts and lists and scoured magazines and websites. We talked to high school counsellors, completed aptitude and interest surveys. He reached out to people in the work force and asked them questions about their careers.
He had already completed a victory lap at high school, had traveled the world, and had completed a year of work. Once again, fall was fast approaching and the all too familiar panic was setting in as the deadlines for applying to schools loomed. Enter Puddle Jump Coaching!! I had a phone consultation with Tonya and we determined that we “were on the same page”. He and Tonya also hit it off right away. They communicated via phone and email. Tonya managed to get him calmed down and into the present moment so that he could focus, get out of his anxiety and into a productive mindset. Tonya brilliantly supported his process into self-awareness and through a process of self -discovery. I watched as he relaxed, gained confidence, clarity and ownership of his explorations and then moved into decision making.
Tonya genuinely engaged in the process and was always available to him as he bumped along on his journey. Tonya did a tremendous job supporting him and provided him with tools that he continues to use. I wholeheartedly recommend Tonya as a youth coach.A. H.,Mom of I.B., 19 years old
As a child I used to see a lot of therapists, it was weird then and it's weird now. It was all so medical, making you feel like another burden on society. However, I get so much more out of Puddle Jump Coaching. There's a saying that goes, “you get as much as you put in” and clearly Tonya has done an exceptional job. Not only have I learned that it's okay to be emotionally aware of myself and others around me but more importantly I’ve learned how to function within my own weird all over the place emotional self. Tonya is a non judgmental coach, always listening to what I have to say and interpreting it in a fashion that both she and I can understand. She’s the literal definition of the term meet in the middle, always helping and ready to see what can be done. She is very proactive in my life. even when I don’t realize it. It's perfect, kind of like Jimminy Cricket but no sing songy. (sic)E., 25 years old
